Maternal Mortality Review Committee
The New Mexico Maternal Mortality Review Committee first convened in 2018. The committee has a maximum of 30 members and reviews all pregnancy-associated deaths (all deaths that occur during pregnancy or within one year of the end of pregnancy, due to any cause). Our mission is to identify and review maternal deaths caused by pregnancy complications and other factors, to identify remediable problems contributing to maternal deaths, and to develop interventions to prevent these deaths.
Application for Maternal Mortality Committee members
The New Mexico Maternal Mortality Review Committee of the New Mexico Department of Health is announcing the opportunity to apply for a 3 year membership term on the committee. Individuals with a strong interest and diverse backgrounds in maternal health and patient safety are needed.
